You will receive regular emails with driver ratings and scores. Each of these is designed to improve your driving and influence your driving score.
1. Your overall driving score and group
You will still receive an overall driving score climbing from the Good, Average or Poor groups and you'll also be shown an accurate score out of 100. This is a rolling score which runs thoughout the term of your policy.

We've created three new focus areas for you: How, Where and When you drive. These will also have a score out of 100 to show how your score is changing.

The power tips will inform you on what driving categories are influencing your score the most, to give you a better understanding of what's good, what's improved and what area can be improved on further to help your score.

4. Driving data
From the driving data being collected, we can help you be more accurate on your annual mileage.
Smoothly does it: We analyse how smoothly you accelerate and brake, how gradually you move up through the gears when you are increasing your speed and the smoothness with which you bring your vehicle to a stop.
Driving speeds: As speed limits are set according to the different types of roads you can drive on, the speeds at which you drive are reviewed. Keeping within these speed limits and avoiding excessive high speed will allow you enough time to react to hazards and be a safer driver.
Time behind the wheel: We look at how frequently you drive and how long you spend behind the wheel. The more time you spend behind the wheel, the more the risk of an accident increases.
Be economical and confident: Concentrates on reaching your destination in the most direct way and in a smooth and steady manner. We review your journeys from A to B.
Road types: We consider the roads you're travelling on, whether they're motorways, urban or rural roads and how your vehicle is being driven.
Local driving: Your driving score is built up from the number of journeys you take within a certain distance from your address, we analyse these journeys including how far you travel and how long they take.
Parking: We measures how often the car is parked at the address you've given us on your policy and compare that to other places the vehicle is being parked at during the day or at night.
Journey consistency: Whether it's a weekday or weekend, we look at and analyse how you use your vehicle throughout the full week regardless of the type of journey your making or the roads you're on.
Time of day: Analyses the time of day, or night of your journeys. Driving during the night and early hours of the morning is riskier than driving during the day.
