There are a range of levels to ensure there's a cover available to best suit your needs,these are:

Each level of cover comes with unlimited roadside recoveries (breakdowns more than ¼ mile from home).

What’s included in Bell Breakdown Cover?

Named drivers

The car shown on your Bell policy is covered if it's you or your named drivers behind the wheel.

Message service

Running late? We'll pass on the message for you.

Caravan and trailer cover

Caravans and trailers up to 8ft 3ins wide and weighing 3.5 tonnes will be recovered.

Lost or broken keys

If your keys are lost or broken we’ll transport your vehicle to the nearest garage or an alternative destination of your choice, if no further than 10 miles away from the breakdown.

Misfuel assist

We'll either drain the fuel or recover your vehicle to the nearest suitable repairer. You'll also get 10 litres of fuel so you can continue your journey.

Alternative transport

Up to three days with a hire car (up to 1600cc) so you can finish your trip.

Overnight accommodation

We’ll arrange overnight accommodation including breakfast for you and your passengers up to £150 per person (£600 total) while your vehicle is being repaired.

Electric vehicles

Includes cover for electric vehicles.

How it works

Once you've added Bell Breakdown Cover to your policy it couldn't be simpler to use.

When you call, we need you to tell us the make and model of your car, in addition to your insurance policy number and registration number. We'll also need to know your location so we can find you as quickly as possible and your phone number so we can call or text you to keep you informed.

The operator will contact you to tell you which technician will be attending and how long they will be.

Can you pass on messages?

If your breakdown has made you late for a meeting at work or if your family are expecting you at home - don't worry! We're always happy to pass on a message or two for you.

Am I covered if my car breaks down at home?

If you have National Cover or European Cover, we offer unlimited Home Assists if your car won't start for you at home, or within a quarter of a mile radius/straight line of your home.
