Student debts and high property prices are forcing more and more young adults to live at home with their parents. So any way they can save money is greatly appreciated, and thanks to Bell these young people can get great deals on their car insurance.

Bell, part of the Admiral Group, specialises in saving money for drivers with zero and low no claims bonus and can offer young drivers a great deal as a result. Bell looked at an example in which the driver could save herself over £270:

Bell managing director, Sue Longthorn, commented, “Many young drivers don’t have the chance to build up no claims bonus, either because they have not been driving very long, have been a named driver on their parents’ policy or have had limited access to cars due to being at university.”

In fact, Bell looked at over 80,000 drivers to see who had the most and least no claims bonus, and unsurprisingly students make up the most drivers with zero no claims.

Sue continued, “Saving as much money as possible whilst still having independence is important should you be a young adult still living at home, and the more money you can save, the quicker you can move out which I’m sure the parents as well as their children would be happy about!”
